35 Gorgeous Vintage Photographs Capture Rural Life in Victorian England

   

William Morris Grundy was a British visual artist who was born in 1806. He took up photography in 1855 and made dozens of stereoscopic photos, primarily posed genre scenes of rustic pursuits such as hunting, fishing, and farming.

These amazing photographs below were shot by Grundy, captured rural life in England during the Victorian era. After his death in 1859, his images acquired by the London Stereoscopic Company, and were used as illustrations for a book, Sunshine in the Country: A Book of Rural Poetry.
